A few months back I had an interesting skype conversation with my friend Jonathan Worth . Jonathan heads up the groundbreaking #phonar (photography & narrative) course at Coventry University.
In his usual understated way he said something like “so I’m starting this little version of #phonar for school-kids in the USA”. A few months have passed and now #phonarnation is live. The “little” course that was mentioned has something like 268,000 participants in the USA, there are other iterations in the Uk, New-Zealand and I’m very proud to say that I’m leading the Irish course.
Dubbed “#nationIreland” the course is running at Bridgewater House centre for Asylum Seekers, in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary. I’m very much looking forward to Aristos, Joseph, Asma, Caitriona, Mohammed and Eucharia introducing themselves to everyone soon.

The #phonarnation press release is here phonar-nation-PR
I’ll be adding video posts, audio and other content to the blog as the course progresses.
